As seen in Brides Magazine!

I am very excited to announce a feature in Brides Magazine, March 2011 issue. I was very happy with the presentation and Brides Magazine was lovely to work with. Here are the images from the magazine:

As excited as I am about something so fantastic (I really am!), I can't  get ahead of myself. This may bring a lot of business, and it may not. So I took my very excited little  self to the library and got some books to read about business and how to build a successful one. Well, I am so excited about my business and what may happen in the future that I read the entire book last night! Honestly, it was only a few hundred pages filled with a lot of pictures but still a small achievement. The entire thing was a collection of information about successful small businesses ran by women. Boy, was it inspirational! The main concept I got from it was that no matter what don't give up. You may have to change concepts, ideas, time lines and a number of other things but if you put your time and energy full force into the business, it will be successful. So, I got up at 5:30 this morning to get it put into action. I am ready to go and happy to be here.

Cheers!

For your information

So, I learned today that  all shipments to France require an invoice regardless of value. That can be helpful if you actually want the customer in France to Receive their package! Hopefully it all works out and they will allow a faxed invoice of some sort. I sure hope she doesn't have to pay at customs! I guess I am learning a little more every day.

Fiesta Ware Chandelier

Today I will be working on some Fiesta Ware cups and saucers for a Chandelier. This was a special order from a friend and has been the hardest thing so far. I have broken two cups and nearly mauled a saucer. I was so dissapointed I had to stop drilling them for a couple of months to gather my sanity. So, today is apprarently the day I regain control of my mind. Let's hope it works out for the best!

I will also be working on some plates with three holes to be hung which will go in my shop. This is in preparation for an upcoming article which will be coming out next month. Hopefully I can finish a really good amount of these prior to the article's release. I can't wait to reveal the article!!!

Have a prosperous and productive day!

Good-bye love!

So, I sold this beautiful stand this morning. I absolutely love this design and this one was one of my favorites. I am sad to see it go but hopefully it will love its new home:

So, I guess I will have to look around for some more of this china and see what I can come up with! Nothing compares to true vintage style!

Whimsical Wedding Stand with teapot topper - 1950's at its best!

Here is one of my favorite pieces. I topped this one with a whimsical teapot which I have been hoarding for the longest time. It is so much fun and absolutely adorable. I hope everyone else loves it as much as I do!

with all three layers - teacup could be swapped out for the teapot at no extra charge

without the center plate

Somehow I'll get it all done!

So I was able to get more done yesterday due to a sick kid and not going to market - yay for staying home, boo for the throwing up feverish sick kid! Alas, I still have so much to do. I have promised the boys pancakes for breakfast and then yard sales and off to the Discovery store to buy an insanely expensive toy (with their own money). Hopefully they will find something at the yard sales before we get there. Because, buying something that costs that much just about makes my heart stop.

After we get home I have about 10 more items to post, new items to make (some awesome record bowls) and actually care for my crazy boys.

So, I'll take another cup of coffee and maybe some cocaine (just kidding) to get me going!

Is it normal to feel this tired?

So we had a really great weekend here in Tampa. The weather was phenomenal! A little windy, especially when you have a large tent holding a significant amount of glass objects, but everything held up and all went well. I bring my two boys, 5 and 3 to the market every Saturday. It is really nice since they have a couple of little boys they enjoy playing with while there. It definitely isn't easy by myself but we manage. Although this Saturday was a particularly bad day for them, they just couldn't deal with whatever stresses were filling their little heads  (perhaps being hungry and getting up at 6am for the 6th day this week!). It was rough most of the day but they felt better after eating a full bagel with cream cheese, a full sandwich, cookies, jello and a bottle of water. I'm not sure what we are going to do when they are teenagers!

We actually had Sunday off with no markets so I took the opportunity to attempt to clean our house, which usually consists of me trying to rearrange the teacups to another room or location. I was fairly successful and moved them around to make some more "wrestling" space. It was good.  After our failed attempt at naps we headed over to Grandma's house for a get together. It was nice but we were all pretty tired.

After putting the kids to bed I checked email. I received a kind email from a friend who very nicely reminded me I forgot to prepare the wedding book for her Mother in law from February. Whoops! Well, I started working on it and now I remember why it was taking so long. I really need to work on taking less photos. Oh well, I told her I would get it done this week and I promise I will, I mean the money was spent soon after she gave it to me so I just have to suck it up and get it done. Too bad I'm so easily distracted, life would be so much easier if I were organized, and maybe being neat and tidy wouldn't hurt!

Well, here's to another Mad day tomorrow. . .
